Mick had been examining dimensional relationships between the three Giza Pyramids using the AutoCAD programme (working to 0·0001") alongside the precise survey measurements of Flinders Petrie, Cole, Rutherford and others. He found numerous similar dimensions - horizontally, vertically - and diagonally (at 45 degrees). This very strongly suggested the existence of an Octagonal geometry at Giza, and perhaps formed the basis for a Grand Plan... As a result of his earlier calendrical studies, and the use of such measures within the Great Pyramid, Mick created an octagon with a width of 36524.22 British Inches... the length of the Earth's mean solar tropical year x 100. | |||||||||||

The octagrams generated two diagonal lines (shown in red) and a central circle (also in red). Within the circle was drawn another octagon. | |||||||||||

The central octagon, and it's circle, were repositioned to align with the North East side of the original octagon and... A duplicate octagon and circle were also positioned to the South West side. Note that the red diagonal lines are within the sides of the main octagon. | |||||||||||

Within each of these inner octagons two squares were drawn - at 45º to each other. The eight intersections, generated by the squares, were used to create the centre points of two aditional sets of smaller octagons. | |||||||||||

Developing these provided Mick with two 'Octet Sets' ... ... which would be used to establish the positions of the three pyramids ... and also their sizes ... | |||||||||||

Three new diagonal lines were drawn, connecting corner points in the Octet Sets, one of which is a centre line of the original octagon. | |||||||||||

Starting in the South West two of the diagonal lines, (shown in red and blue), establish the position, and the diagonal size, of G3. | |||||||||||

In the North East the opposite red diagonal line establishes the NW corner of G1. Two of the small octagons of the Octet Set (in red) establish two 'centre' lines - where they cross (on the original octagon perimeter) provides the centre of G1 Together, these two points create half the diagonal of G1. Doubling the size, therefore, generates G1. [The dotted orange square in the centre indicates the area that will be enlarged in the next diagram.] | |||||||||||

The North East corner of G2 is established by first drawing a circle (in red) between the pair of blue diagonal lines, centred on the corners of two of the Octet Set octagons (A). Within this circle is drawn a square at 45º - the centre of one of it's sides (B) gives the NE pyramid corner. The South West corner is established by drawing a small octagon (in blue) that is as wide as one side of the Octet Set octagons. This octagon is 'fitted' into a corner of the Octet Set (C) - and one of it's corners (D) gives the SW pyramid corner. | |||||||||||
